Anastasia Beverly Hills: Modern Renaissance Review

IMG_4296 edit2

The Modern Renaissance palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills is definitely worth all the hype. It is probably the nicest palette that has ever blessed my face. For one, its velvety packaging is nothing less than luxurious. For two, its fourteen neutral and berry tones are perfect for all seasons and for a lot of skin types.

When I received this palette as a birthday gift, in the fall, I didn’t realize that it would become the one palette I use for my everyday natural look. At first glance, this pigmented romantic palette with deep oranges and deep pinks was intimidating. But that’s not the case at all. Although this palette contains very deep and rich tones, the eyeshadows apply nicely and evenly.

A little goes a long way with this product. You can create a plethora of looks by lightly brushing on some color for a more natural look, or by increase the depth of its pigments by gradually building for a more bold and rich look. Not to mention, this palette has the perfect combination of matte and shimmer finishes. Thus, making the Modern Renaissance a palette perfect for both daily wear and evening glam.

My everyday look with this palette is constructed of:

  • TEMPERA (base)
  • PRIMAVERA (lid)
  • RED OCHRE (crease)
  • WARM TAUPE (outer triangle)
  • VERMEER (waterline)

I highly recommend Modern Renaissance to anyone who doesn’t have this palette already! I promise that it won’t disappoint.

You can find this lovely palette at your nearest ULTA or Sephora stores, retailed to be $42.

Until Next Time xoxo
