What is freaking up you guys!
It’s been another hot minute since I’ve done anything for my blog, so here is an update! For starters, I’m officially a college graduate! In this post, I’ll fill you in on what I’ve been up to, as well as what’s to come.
On Saturday May 11th, I finally graduated from the University of North Texas at 8AM with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Minors in Chemistry and Psychology. This past year has been a roller coaster. In July 2018, I applied to four different PT schools and ended up getting rejected from all four with no interview.
It was really upsetting to get those rejection letters, even though I knew I wasn’t going to get in. Afterwards, it took me a little while to compose myself, but I kept it together.
I ended up making the Dean’s list for fall 2018 and spring 2019. This is a huge accomplishment for me because I’ve never received honors during my four years.
Now, here’s the big question: “What next?“
I am planning on taking two Masters classes online this summer. Both of these classes are a part of the Rehabilitation Counseling program at UNT. I am not trying to get my Masters — I’m only taking these classes to improve my competitiveness for my applications, which open in July.
Along with my classes, I’m still working as a technician and continuing to gain more experience through observation and volunteer hours.
For non-application related news, Colin and I will be moving out together at July, which is very exciting! I will be picking up the keys this weekend, right before my youngest brother’s high school graduation — so this weekend will be crazy busy and full of social activities. In June, Colin and I will be traveling with my family for about a week, and then for the first two weeks in July we will be going to Missouri to see his family, and to see my best friend’s white coat ceremony.
That’s pretty much it! It’s pretty short and sweet, but still very busy. So far I’ve been going to Fort Worth on days that I’m not working to observe, as well as looking for potential new places to work. Hopefully, this year’s application season will go better for me, and I hope I can get an interview or two.
Other than that, I’ll try to be more active on my blog, so I can officially get my own domain, and try to be more productive with planning, editing, and posting high quality content! Once we settle into our new place, I’ll be sure to have a more structured schedule and a better filming set up.
Here is an update video I made back in April, and I believe I get more into the details.
That’s all I got for this update post! I hope to see you lovelies soon~❤
With Love, Joslyn
