Peachy Academy: My Application Journey – A Brief Overview

Hello loves~ Welcome back to Peachy Academy! In today’s post, I will be giving you an overview of my application experience. As some of you know, I am currently in graduate school to obtain my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. If you think it is a simple and straight forward process — let me state that this was possibly the most challenging experience to date. From the time of my application season(s), it was said that roughly 8% of applicants get accepted into physical therapy school. This is mainly due to the fact that there are an overwhelming amount of applicants and each program only accepts an average of 45 students per year.

As scary as that sounds, I am not trying to discourage potential applicants — I only want to share my experiences so that others don’t feel alone and to create a space for discussion and solidarity.

Happy Wednesday Loves~

Before I begin today’s blog post, I would like to sincerely apologize for my absence recently. Last week, I was on spring break (I really wanted to just spend time with my boyfriend and my parents), and the week before I had three major exams I had to really focus on. Now that my schedule has cleared up again, I can now focus fully on my blog content! Regardless, have no fear, during my break, I was prewriting and brainstorming.

Along with the busy weeks in the life of a stressful college student, there are moments where you start to mentally panic and freak yourself out, especially when you have a demanding major with demanding classes and professors. During these moments, you need to find ways to relax and unwind, or else you will literally explode.

Product Review: Juice Beauty – Green Apple Brightening Eyecream

IMG_3111 edit text

I was introduced to Juice Beauty while visiting ULTA in search for a new under eye cream. I previously was using Origin’s GinZing Eye Cream (read my review here). Unfortunately, my eye cream from Origin’s was starting to irritate the skin under my eyes – causing it to sting, and become hyper sensitive.

Luckily, I was able to find a new under eye cream from Juice Beauty! Continue reading Product Review: Juice Beauty – Green Apple Brightening Eyecream

Product Review: Dove Dry Spray

Before I start today’s post, I would like to apologize for my inactivity. I didn’t realize that it’s been 20 days since my last post. I had my first couple of tests for the semester and something personal came up.

At the beginning of January, I received a package completely unaware of what it was. Surprisingly, I received two cans of Dove’s Dry Spray deodorant, one for women and one for men, from the courtesy of Target and Influenster.

Here is what me and my boyfriend thought about Dove’s Dry Spray deodorant:  Continue reading Product Review: Dove Dry Spray

Fun Cardio Alternatives for Running

When you think of cardio, running is probably the first things that come to mind. Now, I know running is not everyone’s cup of tea – I know for sure that it’s not mine. Running is a part of my workout routine, however, I am for sure not a distance runner like my mom. Therefore I don’t run for a long time – maybe 30 minutes max when I’m feeling determined (which I don’t most of the time)

Running is actually very good for you and benefits your entire body, not just your legs. However, running tends to get repetitive and gets boring easily, especially if you are on a treadmill versus running outside.

Here are some fun alternatives for running that will get your heart rate up:  Continue reading Fun Cardio Alternatives for Running

5 Healthy Habits that Helped Me Loose Weight

If you guys follow me on Twitter, then you might have noticed that I recently did a poll. Recently, I’ve been going through this writer’s block funk, and I just needed some help in where I needed to lead my content. If you read my New Year’s Resolutions post, then you already know that I am trying really hard to improve my content, as well as many other things.

On my poll, I asked which general topic you wanted me to talk about, and I had 100% votes for health/fitness. So why not kill two birds with one stone? On Wednesday, I shared my current workout playlist, and now I’ve decided to keep the trend of health/fitness to round out January, and slowly progress into February (and Valentine’s Day).

Here are 5 Healthy Habits that Helped Me Loose Weight:

Workout Playlist: Whistle While You Work It!

January is has come and is about to be gone! How are you and your New Year’s resolutions? I know for me and for a lot of my friends and family, one of our biggest resolutions would have to be going to the gym and working out more, not just for physical appearances but for health reasons as well, such as cholesterol levels.

Now that you’ve put in the effort to get up and go to the gym, do you ever find yourself unmotivated and just stuck, not knowing what to do first, or what to do next, and for how long? Is your mind running more than your legs?

Having a playlist designed specifically for working out helps to energize you and reduce wandering thoughts which can just stress you out or make you feel awkward. Not to mention it makes working out go by faster and more fun! (And if you’re anything like me, you’re more into the music and the feels it gives you than working out)

Here is my current workout playlist that really helps me to get into the positive mood to workout:
