I am 100% sure that I have been shadow banned…

However, seeing as how I have not posted anything in four months, that is to be expected.

Anyways, happy Saturday loves! It has been a long while since I last posted on here. If you follow me on other social media platforms, you probably know that I have not been very active on those accounts either. So, don’t feel left out!

Today’s post is just another note to update you on what is going on in my life, and what is to come for the remainder of the year!

If you would like to hear the vague and “short” version, you can check out my update video here.

The start of the year was more hectic than I had planned. My hands were quite full between my two jobs and my self-paced online course. For a little while, my work life was complicated and I would not admit that I was overwhelmed. Long story short, I have been working two jobs since August of 2020, and I left one entity in January. However, I made a last-minute decision to take up a job offer at another clinic. The transition was quite seamless, and I am thankful for that – but, it was not my original plan to continue working two jobs for this long.

I am currently still working at both companies, and patient census has been high at both establishments. With my busy schedule, I have not given myself the opportunity to fully recharge. There have been a few times where my work week exceeded seven days. For example, after today, I will have worked thirteen days in a row :))

Thankfully, I have been given full autonomy of my schedule at both jobs, and I have decided to leave my clinic at the end of May. With that said, I will remain part-time at my other company to take time before school starts.

Come September, I will officially begin physical therapy school!

Overall, I have been hesitant to discuss my educational goals with you throughout these years. For one, my undergraduate career was not a stroll in the park, and I was ashamed to admit that I was struggling in more ways than one. Two, it was a hard pill for me to swallow when I got rejected from all the graduate programs that I applied to for almost consecutive years.

I will not go into too much detail now because I would like to dedicate a series for these topics. I am hoping to begin this series come June or July. So, if you have any topics that you would like for me to discuss, or questions you want me to answer – please comment down below, or DM me!

Once the school year begins, I hope that I have maintained a consistent posting schedule, and hope to stick to it throughout my entire program. I am not sure which direction I will take with the content that I provide. However, I was not entirely sure about which niche to join when I started this blog in 2015.

This summer, I am so excited to take time off for myself, family, and for my passion projects! In addition to being more consistent on social media, the blog, and my youtube channel, I will be opening my Etsy store!

Please know that the blog family is the first to know about this! I have not announced this on any of my other social media platforms. This project has been in the making for a while now, but due to my crazy work and school schedule, I have had to postpone many things.

The store is called Peachy Pal Studio

This name was birthed from my obsession with stickers and stationary items, my favorite color schemes, and my desire to have more pen pals (I currently have three).

Ever since I was young, I have always loved the arts, but I struggled to bring my interests to fruition. As a first generation, Asian-American, it was difficult to delve into my hobbies without detouring from my studies and other extra-curricular programs.

This venture will start off small in order to gauge how well it will perform. The fear of failure is always something that I struggle with. Regardless, this is something that I have been contemplating on for a long time. I also started an instagram page for the store, but I have not revealed the connection to my personal account or the blog account. So, for now, this is a secret between us!

The instagram page also allows me to track my progress on my doodles. I would not call it art because I have not been practicing, and need to go back to the basics to relearn proper skills and tools. Regardless, I am very excited! So far, I have the first launch planned, and it is almost ready to go live. There are still some details and logistics that I need to sort out but I am hoping to officially open the shop in June or July.

In terms of life updates, that is about it! So far this year, it has just been work, school, and figuring out when to cook and clean in between.

Now, I know you must be tired of me saying this repeatedly… But, from here on out, I promise that I will be more productive on here and on social media! With my class ending soon, finalizing details on moving apartments, and leaving one job – I will be readily available to dedicate time for you and my projects.

I believe that lowering my own expectations will also help with this process. So, I vow to post at least once a week on some social media platform, whether that be: twitter, instagram, youtube, or here.

Additionally, I would like to revamp everything! From profile pictures, to graphics, and animations, I think that updating all these details will make this transition period more official! It will also give me the opportunity to think through my plan for each platform.

For those who have been here with me since the beginning, I would like to thank you for your time and patience after all these years! For those who are new, thank you for taking the time to stop by my little corner of the internets! I hope that this update provided some clarity. Again, I apologize for not being proactive and I promise that I will strive to be better than my past self.

Until next time loves~

with love, joslyn
